FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Yes we do. Dealing with chronic pain however will take multiple sessions. While I cannot cure terminal/chronic illness completely, I can help reduce the pain which comes as a bi-product of the ailment. This in turn facilitates healing and along with the advise of your doctor and medical procedures you can benefit greatly and may even recover from such illnesses considerably. Previously with the combination of alternative therapies and massage we have been able to avoid our client from rundergoing an operation for their back and brought back mobility in their limbs. The power of massage and alternative therapies should not be underestimated.

DO YOU OFFER ANY OTHER SERVICES?

Healing Hands is strictly a massage focused organization aiming to heal patients who have been suffering from possible chronic injury or whatever physical pain they are going through. Additionally we offer custom herbal oil mixing services on request and sell products of our own design at the clinic and online.

However I have had many enquires questioning whether we provide any 'sexual' treatments or happy endings and the answer is NO. The mere thought that someone would ask that of me is revolting and I must remind you that prostitution is illegal in the UK. Please do not request such services at Healing Hands. We like to believe we have a mutual understanding with our clients that this is naturally not an option. Anyone who calls with requests of this nature will be blocked and reported.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

  • Have a shower before a massage and wear cotton clothes so your skin can breathe.

  • Wear loose and comfortable clothing.

  • Drink water before and after an appointment to remove toxins.

  • If you have a sensitive skin bring your own towel and oil with you for safety.

  • Breathe normally or deep breathe to keep the muscles relaxed.

  • Communicate freely with your massage therapist and acquaint her with all your areas of aches and pains.

  • You will be asked to undress, but please do not strip down naked. Please wear shorts so we can still access key muscles for massage.

  • If you fall asleep during a massage, dont fret. It means you are relaxed and comfortable and the massage is working.

  • You should let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable, feel pain or too much pressure that is causing discomfort.

IN REGARDS TO MY MASSAGE, WHEN SHOULD I HAVE A SHOWER?

During the massage, your therapist will probably use a variety of oils or lotions. These provide the right amount of slip and friction for massage. They also condition your skin and aid relaxation through aroma and herbal therapy.

Although some people feel sticky and want to wash it off straight away. Others like to keep it for longer. It all depends on personal preference as the oil should seep into your skin within the first 10-15 minutes. After the massage the skin feels moisturised, nourished, silky and smooth.

In the shower be extra careful  to remember to check the water temperature. A hot shower after a
massage can be relaxing, but too hot of a shower can leave you feeling dizzy

DO YOU TAKE CASH OR CARD?

We are currently only accepting cash payments but we are hoping to take card payments very soon. You can still book an appointment online and pay in person.

Please bring cash corresponding to the price of the massage on the day.
